(1) Develop your own Painting Style using Reference Photos

Your artistic style is what makes your work feel like you, it's essentially what distinguishes you from other artists and I'm sure you have noticed that throughout history all the greatest artists had styles that were distinct and unique. This course is designed for you to discover your personal creativity, unique painting style, and what sets you apart from everyone else, and bring you through the process to complete finished painting.

Submit up to three photographs of any kind (florals, landscapes etc.) you will receive compositional ideas and possible approach for the best one, then go back to your studio to paint. After one week submit your painting with questions, for another video review and problem solving. Return to your studio to complete your painting. For those of you that are super speedy, you can continue to paint one of the other reviewed compositions until the course ends.

  • Personal video reviews will take the place over the live meetings with one final live optional meeting on the fourth week to review all paintings.

Week one

  • Submit up to three photos, then receive a personal video (asap), with compositional ideas and an approach on one that might work best, then go back to your studio to start painting.

  • Submit your in work in progress, ask questions in the comment box, then receive a personal video with a review.

Week three

  • Submit your painting in progress, ask questions, or start another painting as time allows, receive a personal video response

Week 4

  • Live meeting, review all reference photos, painting in progress, and final painting.
