Brushes

• # 8, 14, 20, Sable/Synthetic round blend brush
• #30 Natural or Sable/Synthetic round blend brush
• # 3 Synthetic brush
• #20 wash mottler (or 1” flat brush)
• #50 Wash Mottler brush or any other large synthetic wash brush.

Paper

• 1 sheet of 140 lb CP Arches paper torn into quarters.

You can also use blocks and even different brands of watercolor paper. Our focus will be on 2 paintings with a Bonus lesson included.

Transparent Watercolor

Winsor & Newton colors:

• French Ultramarine blue Cobalt blue
• Cerulean blue
• Burnt Sienna
• Perm Sap green
• Quin Magenta (WN)
• Perm Alizarin Crimson
• Quin gold (optional)
•  Indigo (optional)

Daniel Smith colors:

• Hansa Yellow
• Ultramarine turquoise (optional)

Other materials

• Covered palette or palette of any type.
• Large 1-gallon plastic rinse wash bucket.
• Paper towels
• Old terry cloth
• Pencil (2HB is fine)
• Kneaded eraser
• Small mist spray bottle
• Rubber pick-up eraser
• Mr. Clean Eraser
• Hair dryer

You can work within your budget and substitute as needed. When using a student-grade set, the names of the colors will not be the same.
