Frog & Flowers, Take the Leap
For years, I wondered how I would want to paint hydrangeas. Would it be as a cluster or single petals? But that felt too decorative, and I wanted more of a story.
One day before teaching a workshop in Mendocino, CA, an adorable little green tree frog caught my eye. It was tucked in a blue-purple hydrangea's petals. For years, I thought about how I would paint it to capture the same emotional response I had when I first saw it.
