You will have time to paint for 10-15 minutes to continue painting after each short demonstration before moving on.
Directly following the class after the paint along, join me in a Zoom meeting for a Q&A and show & tell and maybe more demonstrations. If you have questions on how to approach your own barn painting let's talk.
Paint a grouping of paintings
Our main focus will be the historic barns of the Pierce Ranch Point Ranch in the Point Reyes National Seashore.
As we work through the lessons you will learn how to keep the shapes simple, add dimension to a structure, work with your brushstrokes for the shadows and grasses, and keep your techniques consistent through multiple paintings, so that when framed they show nicely as a grouping or even separately. If you want, you can send them as cards or give them as gifts.

Birgit O'Connor
Master artist Birgit O’Connor is an internationally known award-winning artist, judge, juror and, author, known for her original paintings and inspirational teaching style. She is signature member of M-NWWS, M-CWA, M-LWS. Her memberships include Cambridge Who’s Who, Who's who in America and Who's who in American women.
Her books “Watercolor in Motion”, “Paint Watercolor Flowers” and “Watercolor Essentials” are top-selling titles in her field, along with being included in over 60 national and international publications such as the New York Times, SF Gate, Watercolor Magazine, Dobry Zank, (Poland) "L'Art de l'Aquarelle" (France).
What we will cover
Develop your skills to feel more confident so you can easily apply what you have learned to your own paintings.
Learn to keep your color consistent and paintings harmonized as we paint four different paintings all at the same time, then frame them as a grouping or separately.
If you have joined the barns paint along before try these again or paint your own and share them in the follow-up meeting after the class.
