Big Skies at Sunset Workshop Feb. 24

Live Workshop
This live workshop continues our exploration of large washes and big skies, with a focus on soft blending, colorful clouds, and luminous sunset light.
Whether you’ve joined previous Big Skies workshops or are jumping in for the first time, this experience is open to all levels. You’re welcome to continue your painting journey or step right into this workshop with fresh eyes.
In this workshop, the focus is on learning how to let water carry the color—creating large, seamless washes that feel radiant, fluid, and alive. Rather than forcing the paint, you’ll learn how timing, movement, and flow work together to create atmosphere and light.

The goal isn’t a detailed or perfect painting, but a deeper understanding of water, light, and space. You’re welcome to work large on a half sheet or smaller to simply explore the techniques.
You’ll Learn How To:
- Create large, confident washes with ease
- Use water and timing to develop soft, glowing skies
- Build atmosphere with subtle shifts in value and color
- Suggest detail with minimal, intuitive brushwork
- Keep your paintings loose, fresh, and luminous
What’s Included:
- Live workshop + replay access
- Reference image
- Supply list and prep guidance
- Step-by-step instruction
Join me to paint and discover how simple, expressive approaches to watercolor can create beautiful atmospheric skies.
